Jess Kaufmann, M.S., CF
Jess Kaufmann, M.S., CFJess began her college career at age 16 through Washington’s Running Start program. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at Seattle University and Washington State University, graduating summa cum laude with majors in English literature and philosophy and a minor in history. In 2020, Jess earned her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology at James Madison University. (With Jess’s permission to share) While earning her Bachelor’s degree, Jess’s two sons were each diagnosed with congenital communication disorders. Years of hard work alongside her sons and their intervention teams allowed the boys to flourish as communicators, and in the midst of it, Jess found her true calling as an SLP.
Jess completed part of her Masters Clinical Externship in our practice in 2019 under the supervision of Amy Svensson MA, CCC-SLP, Amber Zielinski MS, CCC-SLP, and Cassie Callaghan, MA, CCC-SLP. We are excited to have her join our Team as a Clinical Fellow.
Jess enjoys working with people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. In addition to working with children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), she specializes in developmental language and treating those whose communication difficulties are impacted by cognitive conditions such as traumatic injury, mood disorders, and Attention Deficit Disorders. She is trained in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment. When not in the clinic or wrangling two growing boys, she enjoys homestead living, playing chess, and the great outdoors.
