Isla Ann Svensson

Isla Ann Svensson

was born on August 6, 2014. She joined Amy Svensson’s (Owner of Susan Cohn and Associates) family on 10/4/14. Her first official day in the clinic was 9/16/15. Isla was bred as a cross-breed ~ Aussiedor. Her Dad is 100% Australian Shepherd and Mom is 100% Chocolate Labrador Retriever. Papers from the breeder are available upon request. IMG_2037Vaccinations are current and posted in the waiting room. Isla has undergone formal training at River Dog Training School as well as informal training living in a family with young children surrounded by constant chaos that ensues in the home on a daily basis included but not limited to, nail painting, tutu wearing, tea parties, being read to and stuffed animal burying (“I Spy Isla”). She spent the 1st eleven months of her life as a young Jedi training under King Louie Svensson, the Svensson family’s 15-year old lab rescue (7/4/00 to 8/4/15). 1620627_10152413160334499_4752251800847867306_nIsla is not a fan of baths, rides in the car, or broccoli. She loves ham, hikes, dog parks, socks (the dirtier the better), digging holes, & lying in the warm sun. Isla finds most comfort in being surrounded by people and other dogs. If given a choice, she would be nestled up close rather than be on her own, well, unless it involves one of the above fore-mentioned favorites. She is truly loyal, loves unconditionally, and desires to be needed. It was always Amy’s goal to have a clinic dog to bring to work having first hand experience of the positive effects dogs have on people, with special needs or not. Amy was raised with dogs and has always had one in her life. The comfort and love a pet can bring to one’s soul and well-being is immeasurable.
